BELOVED Summer Retreat 2025
June 27-29, 2025
Mission Springs Conference Center
Scotts Valley, CA
Dear Beloved!
We’re excited to invite you to our summer retreat: Rock Solid — a time to draw closer to God and be strengthened, equipped, and grounded in the firm foundation of Christ.
In a world that constantly challenges our faith, God is with us and He is calling us to stand firm. We’re meant for far more than this world has to offer, and our higher calling involves being spiritually prepared, rooted in His truth, and maturing in His love. We’re in this together, and we can’t wait to see how God moves in each of our hearts and together as a church!
We hope you’ll join us for a weekend of worship, growth, and good times together as we build up a faith that’s truly ROCK SOLID.
Hope to see you June 27-29! ♡
“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.”
— Ephesians 6:10-11

Retreat Speaker
Pastor David Kim
Pastor David hails from lots of places including Korea, the Philippeans, New Jersey, and Southern California. As a son to missionary parents, he has been involved with college ministry since he was very young. P. David currently serves as the pastor for the Well (young adult) and Beloved (college) ministries at New Community Baptist Church.
After graduating from the University of California at San Diego and working as a full-time missionary since 2010 as well as earning a Master of Divinity from Talbot in 2024, God has been growing both the missional and pastoral heart within him. He is passionate about helping the next generation of college and young adults love and follow the Lord., especially through his main passions for teaching and preaching. He has given seminars regarding spiritual formation, marketing, and the role of art and creativity in Christianity. He also is passionate about worship, drumming, coffee roasting, latte art, bowling, BBQ, archery, theology, and ceramics.
Seminar Speaker
Pastor Paul Dubé
Pastor Paul Dubé was born to a French-Canadian father and a Korean mother and currently serves as the pastor of Mosaic Youth Ministry at New Community Baptist Church, where he has been ministering to students for nearly a decade. He is passionate about walking alongside the next generation and raising up disciples who will, in turn, disciple others.
In addition to his role at NCBC, Pastor Paul mentors high school campus leaders through Decision Point, a ministry that equips students to share the gospel and lead outreach at their schools. He also serves as a director with Horizon Ministry, a Bay Area network of youth ministries sharpening and building up youth leaders for the gospel. P. Paul is also the host of the popular Gen Z Podcast, where he explores hot-button issues and current cultural trends through a biblical lens—helping believers think critically and faithfully about the world around them.
P. Paul received his B.A. in Biblical Studies from Patterson University (2013) and earned his Master of Divinity from Gateway Seminary (2018). He sensed a call to youth ministry at the age of 21 and has continued faithfully in that calling ever since.
P. Paul and his wife, Munkyung, have two beautiful children, Ludia and Mosé. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, cooking, playing guitar, and watching tech videos.
