
Discipleship Training
Discipleship is essential for growing as a true follower of Christ. At NCBC, discipleship training is a church-wide program that follows the same curriculum in both English and Korean. For classes held in Korean, English translation will be provided. The courses listed below are offered in both languages, with the dates shown corresponding to the English sessions.
1- PEITHO
Peitho means “assurance.” This is a Bible study course for all new members of Saenuri Church. Completing this course is required to become a full member of NCBC .This class is planned to be offered in English 3 times per year.
Prerequisite: None

2- GINOSKO
Ginosko means “to know.” Centered on Philippians 3:8, this class is designed not only to gain knowledge about God but also to experience Him in daily life. The 10-week course will systematically teach on life as a Christian. This class is planned to be offered 2 times per year.
Prerequisite: PEITHO; or concurrent PEITHO

3- DISCIPLE
Disciple comes from the Greek word for “follower.” This course focuses on the Gospel of Matthew, learning about the life of Jesus through the Gospels while gaining a broad perspective of the entire Bible. Through this course, participants are guided to become disciples who follow the path of Jesus. This 6-month training is offered once a year.
Prerequisite: PEITHO and GINOSKO; for Agape members who have taken the combined PEITHO & GINOSKO training, a special 1-session review course should be taken before beginning DOULOS.

4- DOULOS
Doulos means “slave.” This course involves continuous study of the Gospels and the entire Bible, while also teaching theology, including countering heresies, preparing sermons, conducting Bible studies, and church planting. Through this course, participants come to realize that we are all unworthy servants and learn to fully obey the Lord. The 6-month training taught in English will be offered once a year beginning September 2026.
Prerequisite: DISCIPLE
5- POIMEN
Poimen means “shepherd.” In this course, participants study the final acts of the glorified Lord, who loved us, obeyed to death, overcame death, and rose again for us. It also emphasizes living a life of discipleship through the Acts of the Apostles, spreading the Gospel from Jerusalem to Israel and to the ends of the earth.
Completing this course marks the end of NCBC’s discipleship classes. Graduates are expected to serve as teachers in the discipleship training program and live as mature believers who faithfully serve the Church as the body of Christ. The 6-month training taught in English will be offered once a year beginning September 2026.
